Carrot and herring caviar. I have had the recipe for a very long time, I don't even remember where I got it. But this is the best caviar I've ever eaten)) We have already given up even sausage sandwiches in favor of this appetizer. And in the morning for breakfast, and just a snack, and to work you can take with you.
Such caviar can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. But, believe me, in a day there will be nothing left)) Try it! Inexpensive, simple, fast and tasty (my favorite combination)!

I clean the herring, cut it into pieces. The bones, of course, need to be removed. I rub carrots, beets and potatoes on a fine grater. All vegetables are raw! Finely chop the onion.
In a saucepan I heat the oil, lightly fry the onion, then add the grated vegetables, chopped herring, tomato paste and a little salt. If the herring is very salty, then there is no need to salt. Carcass over medium heat for about 20-25 minutes. Finally I add bay leaves and black pepper.
You can also serve hot. But it's better to be patient and wait for the caviar to cool down. And with black and white bread, and with any side dish - it's very, very tasty!
Ingredients:
• Carrots - 3-4 pcs.
• Beets - 1 pc.
• Potatoes - 1 pc.
• Onion - 1 pc.
• Herring 2-3 pcs.
• Vegetable oil - 100 ml
• Tomato paste - 2-3 tbsp.
• Bay leaf - 1 pc.
• Black pepper, salt
