If guests are on the doorstep or urgently need to make a treat and not difficult to prepare, then this recipe is waiting for you. Puff pastry envelopes with cherries are very tasty, tender and fragrant. There are always dough and berries in the freezer. You can use another filling instead of cherries. Ingredients: yeast-free puff pastry, pitted cherries (I have frozen), yolk + 2 tbsp water for lubrication, ground cinnamon or vanilla sugar, sugar, powdered sugar for sprinkling
Cooking method:
Cover the deco with parchment for baking. Defrost the dough (I have a ready-made purchase) and defrost the cherries.
Add cinnamon and sugar to the cherries. You can add vanilla sugar instead of cinnamon. Make sure the cherries are pitted!
Divide the dough into equal parts. I got 6 squares out of one sheet of dough.
We spread the cherries on top of the square, I got 1.5 tsp per dough. We pinch the edges in the middle and the corners too.
We spread it on parchment.
Mix the yolk of one egg with water. Lubricate the envelopes.
We heat the oven at 220 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes. The time depends on the particularity of your oven. Take out and cool to room temperature.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
