Indeed, a very simple way. And the squids are very tender and tasty! For salads - what you need! The husband calls this method "correct". I do not argue)) So be it.
I cook a little differently. I put the peeled squid in a pot of boiling water and take it out after 2 minutes.
If I suddenly ran in and did not manage to get the squid out of the boiling water in time, I set the timer for 40 minutes and continue to cook. After 40 minutes, the squid becomes soft and tasty again. A chef I know shared this method with me. Since then I have been using it. Here I talked in more detail:
And now my husband's way. "Correct" 😉
First, the squid, of course, need to be peeled. To do this, pour boiling water over them. And after a few seconds, transfer to ice water.
Now squid is very easy to clean. All films are easily removable.
Cut the peeled squid into such strips.
Now transfer to a bowl and pour boiling water over the squid strips. Mix with a spoon and immediately drain the water.
Fill it a second time in the same way. Poured, mixed, drained water.
Before pouring boiling water on the squid strips for the third time, add salt to taste and bay leaf. Pour boiling water over and leave for one or two minutes. Then we drain the water. And that's it! You can make a salad!
I have already shared a very simple and very tasty salad recipe, which my husband also prepares. If you missed it, here's a link:
