Unusual homemade cakes for a weekend or a holiday. Such a rich pie Snail with apples will surprise you with its unusual appearance and delight you with its unsurpassed taste. The cake is large, beautiful, fragrant and surprisingly tasty. It has a delicate fluffy muffin and a lot of fragrant apple filling, as well as almonds, raisins and jam. Such a cake is not ashamed to be served on the festive table for guests for tea.
Preparing a snail pie is not too difficult, but some skill may be required when molding it. Jam for the filling of this pie, you can take any. Apricot jam is especially good here.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • flour - 500 g
  • milk - 250 ml
  • butter - 70 g
  • sugar - 70 g
  • pressed yeast - 35 g
  • salt - a pinch

Filling:

  • raisins - 60 g
  • almond petals - 80 g
  • jam - 150 g
  • apples - 500 g
  • lemon juice - 2-3 tbsp. l.

Step by step recipe

1. First, knead the dough.
Pour 250 ml of milk into a saucepan and put 70 g of butter in it. Heat milk and butter to about 35-40 degrees.

2. Pour warm milk with butter into a large bowl. In this mixture we crumble 35 g of pressed yeast, add a pinch of salt and 70 g of sugar. Mix everything until the yeast and sugar are completely dissolved.

3. Here we gradually add about 500 g of flour. Knead the dough for about five minutes. The finished dough should be smooth, elastic and not sticky to your hands.

4. We collect the dough into a ball, cover with cling film and put in a warm place to approach.

5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. We clean half a kilogram of apples from the core and cut into small cubes. We shift the chopped apples into a bowl and pour about 2-3 tbsp. l. lemon juice. We mix everything well. The lemon juice will keep the apples from browning.

6. To the prepared apples, add 60 g of raisins, 70 g of almond petals and 150 g of any jam. We mix the stuffing.

7. The dough has risen and doubled in size. We spread it on a table sprinkled with flour and roll it into a rectangle about 40x50 cm in size.

8. Spread the filling on the rolled out dough and spread it evenly. In order for the filling to hold better, press it into the dough with your hands.

9. Cut the dough with the filling lengthwise into four equal strips. We turn the first strip with the filling into a roll.

10. Place the roll in the center of the baking dish. The form must first be greased with butter and sprinkled with flour. I removed the side of the form for convenience. The diameter of my mold is 26 cm.
The remaining three strips of dough with filling are wrapped around the already formed middle of the pie. In order to do this, you need a little skill, but I am sure that you will succeed.

11. Set the mold in place. Let the cake rest in a warm place for about 20 minutes.

12. After 20 minutes, put the cake in the oven, preheated to 170 degrees. Bake the cake for about 50 minutes.
After 50 minutes, grease the cake on top with two tablespoons of jam. Let bake for another 10 minutes.

Apple pie Snail turned out just delicious. Fragrant lush muffin and delicious filling give an amazing combination of taste and aroma.
