You will surely love this pie recipe. The pies are fluffy and tasty, they do not get stale even the next day. The whole family will love this delicious snack! And you can safely cook such pies in fasting to diversify your menu.
The dough for such pies is prepared in a custard way and very quickly. Even though there is yeast in the recipe, you don't have to wait for it to rise. The dough is ready to work immediately after kneading. I offer three lean fillings in the recipe, but you can also prepare other fillings to your taste.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • flour - 650 g
  • warm water - 200 ml
  • hot water - 200 ml
  • pressed yeast - 50 g
  • vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l.
  • sugar - 1 tbsp. l.
  • salt - 1 tsp. l.

Pea filling:

  • peas - 1/2 cup
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • salt - to taste
  • ground black pepper - to taste

Potato Stuffing:

  • potatoes - 500 g
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • salt - to taste

cabbage stuffing:

  • white cabbage - 500 g
  • hot water - 1.5 cups
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • salt - to taste
  • ground black pepper - to taste

Step by step recipe

Preparing potato filling

1. 500 g peeled potatoes cut into small pieces. Pour the potatoes with water and set to boil. When the potatoes boil, salt it, cover with a lid and cook until tender.

2. While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the sautรฉ.
Cut two onions into small cubes.
Three carrots on a coarse grater.

3. We put the chopped onion in a preheated pan with a small amount of vegetable oil. Saute until golden.
Add grated carrots to the finished onion and sautรฉ everything until the carrots are soft.

This amount of sautรฉing is enough for us at once for two fillings.

4. Ready mashed potatoes. In order for the potatoes to turn out not dry, add a little water in which they were cooked.

5. To the finished puree, add half of the cooked passerovka, pepper everything to taste and mix. Potato stuffing is ready.

Cooking pea filling

6. Put 0.5 cups of washed and already soaked peas in a saucepan for at least 2 hours. Pour 1.5 cups of water and put on fire.
After boiling, remove the foam from the peas and cook it until cooked under the lid for about 40 minutes.

7. To the finished peas, add the second half of the vegetable sautรฉ. Salt and pepper the filling to taste. Puree everything with an immersion blender until smooth. Pea filling is ready.

Preparing cabbage stuffing

8. First, we make a passerovka from one onion and one carrot.
While the roast is being prepared, chop about half a kilogram of cabbage.

9. Add shredded cabbage to the frying pan. Salt everything and mix.
Here we add 1.5 cups of boiling water to the cabbage. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer over low heat for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

10. At the end, pepper the cabbage and mix. Cabbage stuffing is ready.

Cooking dough for pies

11. Now let's make the custard yeast dough for pies.
In a bowl, crumble 50 g of pressed yeast. Here we add 1 tbsp. l. sugar, 1 tsp. l. salt and 1 cup warm water.

12. Mix everything until sugar and yeast are completely dissolved.
At the end add 3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil.

13. Pour 650 g of flour into a large bowl. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour and mix a little.
Pour 200 ml of boiling water here.

14. Knead the dough first with a spoon and then with your hands. If necessary, add a little more flour to the dough.
Knead the dough for about 8 minutes. It should be soft and slightly sticky to your hands.

Cooking pies

15. After kneading the dough, it is immediately ready for use. We make pies. We tear off a small piece from the dough, roll up the sausage and divide it into pieces.
From each piece of dough, first roll a ball, and then form a cake.

16. We put the filling on each cake. We pinch the edges of the cake well. So we form all the pies.

17. Fry the prepared pies over medium heat in hot sunflower oil. There should be enough oil to cover half of the pie.
Fry the pies on both sides until a beautiful golden color. I got about 40 pies.

The pies are soft, fluffy and very tasty. Be sure to cook them, they fly off the table like seeds.
