Hello, today I want to share with you the most beloved, for the past 5 years, a version of the Easter cake "Sun" I love this cake, first of all, for its bright yellow color, of course, for the taste, and it does not get stale for up to 7 days.

Recipe:

For the cake:

  • Milk -300 ml.
  • Flour -800 gr.
  • Vanilla sugar - 1 sachet
  • Fresh yeast - 15 gr. (dry -5 gr)
  • Egg -5 pcs.
  • Salt -1/2 tsp
  • Sugar -200 gr.
  • Turmeric -1/2-1 tsp
  • Butter -200 gr.
  • Vegetable oil -50 ml.

For glaze:

  • Sugar -180 gr.
  • Gelatin -1 tsp
  • Boiling water - 6 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice -1 tsp

COOKING METHOD

Stage 1: in a bowl, mix 100 ml of milk with a half tsp. salt and 1 tsp. sugar, add yeast

add 100 grams of sifted flour and leave to rise for 15-20 minutes

Stage 2: Let's prepare the custard base: pour 200 ml of milk into the pan, add vanilla sugar

as it boils, remove and add 150 grams of flour, mix

leave to cool

as it cools down, we introduce the dough (for convenience, you can use a mixer, if the mass is thick, add a little milk)

leave for 1 hour to rise

Stage 3: Divide eggs into whites and yolks

Put the squirrels in the refrigerator, add sugar and turmeric to the yolks (it will give a yellow color to the Easter cakes)

Beat with a mixer

add to broth and stir

and now add 150 grams of sifted flour

and remove for 1.5 hours to rise

Stage 4: melt the butter and let it cool down

add to the dough mixed with flour and mix

add filler

the dough is ready to divide into shapes
