A great appetizer for any meat dish or side dish. Marinated cauliflower in Korean is tasty, fragrant and moderately spicy. It will certainly appeal to all lovers of "points" and not only. Such an appetizer is suitable for the daily menu, and on the festive table it will be very appropriate.
It is not difficult to prepare such a Korean-style snack. The most difficult thing is to wait until the cabbage is marinated and you can already try it. By the way, you can always adjust the spiciness of the snack to your liking.
Be sure to try this unusual cauliflower appetizer, it will always be in place!

Ingredients:

  • cauliflower - 1.5 kg
  • carrots - 2 pcs.
  • seasoning for carrots in Korean - 30 g
  • garlic - 6 cloves

Marinade:

  • water - 1 l
  • sugar - 150 g
  • salt - 2 tbsp. l.
  • vegetable oil - 50 ml
  • vinegar - 120 ml

Step by step recipe

1. Let's prepare the vegetables first.
We take a cauliflower and cut it with a knife into inflorescences. We disassemble large inflorescences by hand into smaller ones. It will take 1.5 kg of cauliflower.


Three large carrots on a Korean carrot grater or on a regular coarse grater.

2. We are preparing the marinade.
Pour 1 liter of water into a saucepan. Here we pour 150 g of sugar, 2 tbsp. with a small slide of salt, 50 ml of vegetable oil and 120 ml of 9% vinegar.
If you like more sour cabbage, then you need to pour a little more vinegar.
We put everything on the fire, bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute.

3. Transfer the prepared cauliflower to a large bowl or saucepan.
Remove the marinade from the heat and immediately pour over the cabbage. Mix cabbage with marinade and let stand for about 5 minutes.

4. A few minutes have passed, add the prepared carrots to the cabbage with the marinade. Pour 30 g of seasoning for Korean carrots here and squeeze about 6 cloves of garlic through a press here. We mix everything.

5. We cover the bowl with a lid and leave it on the table until it cools completely, and then set it to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 5-6 hours, and preferably overnight.

Marinated cauliflower in Korean turned out to be very tasty, crispy and moderately spicy. It is prepared very simply and easily. This appetizer is perfect both for every day and for the festive table.
