I want to share my life hack with bread. I recently learned this technique from a magazine, decided to try it and I liked it. Therefore, I also want to share with you, suddenly it will be useful to someone.

We never throw away the bread: we always eat it up, and if it's stale, then I add it to the cutlets, or I make crackers. Or sometimes we take it outside when we go for a walk and feed the pigeons.

But there are times when there is a lot of fresh bread in the house, and I understand that in the coming days we will definitely not eat it. For example, bread remains after large feasts with guests, or after some kind of celebrations such as weddings and anniversaries. In general, situations are different.

To keep it from disappearing, I freeze it. There are several nuances here, so be sure to read the article to the end so as not to miss anything.

So, bread can be frozen with a whole loaf or sliced pieces - there is no difference. The most important thing is that the bread should be fresh, not stale. Because it defrosts in the form in which it was frozen.

An important point: we defrost the bread naturally at room temperature. It defrosts long enough, about 4 hours, if a whole loaf. And if sliced, then of course faster.

From such thawed bread, I usually make croutons, salad crackers, prepare bread crumbs, soak them in milk and put them in cutlets. On the table for soup and other dishes, I still prefer to serve fresh, not frozen / defrosted bread that I just bought in a store or baked myself.

This is my way. Write that in the comments, what do you do if there is a lot of bread left?
