After a feast, I rarely lose anything, I do not throw away the leftovers, but use them. Of course, we are not talking about leftovers and tartlets bitten by guests. I'll tell you something completely different in this article.
1. The bread from the festive table always remains. What I do with it: of course, we will eat a part the next day, but these are just a few pieces. But I cut the rest into cubes and make crackers out of them. Then I use them for salads, for example, for "Caesar", and also serve them with cheese or pea soup.
2. Sausage and cold cuts do not disappear either. I cut a part into strips, put it in a bag and freeze it, and then use it to make a hodgepodge. I put some of the slices in a bag or container just like it was sliced on the festive table, this is for pizza.
3. Cheese platter will also go later for making pizza and any other dishes. I grate the cheese, put it in a bag - and in the freezer. The cheese then crumbles very easily, like shavings. Very comfortably.
4. Fruits and berries go bad very quickly, and I also find use for them. Something goes straight to the compote, something to the pie, and I freeze some, and then use it for the compote.
5. The remnants of the hot (main) dish do not disappear either. For example, mashed potatoes - for a casserole or zrazy. The chicken baked in the oven is also used in other dishes - in shawarma, for example, in a hodgepodge, filling for pies, etc.
6. I use fruit juices from the package (if the package has already been opened) for ice cream. Beat 200 ml of kefir and 150 ml of juice with a blender, pour it into molds and into the freezer for 4-6 hours.
We finish appetizers and salads so you can't think of anything with them. Salted and smoked fish is used for sandwiches, we either finish the cake or give it to the guests with us. These are my options for using leftovers.
