Stewed cabbage with pork is one of the most popular dishes of Slavic cuisine. It is prepared by many countries and nationalities.

A delicious, hearty, high-calorie dish that can be served both independently and with your favorite side dish. Ideal: boiled or fried potatoes, rice, buckwheat, lentils, pasta of any shape. Do not forget about fresh bread, in combination with it, the dish will greatly benefit in taste.

Ingredients:

White cabbage - 300 g

Pork - 300 g

Onions - 40 g

Carrots - 100 g

Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.

Tomato sauce - 4 tablespoons

Salt to taste

Ch.m. pepper - taste

Parsley - 4-5 branches

Preparation:

1. For braised pork cabbage, prepare the foods listed. Peel the onions and carrots, wash the vegetables under running water, pat dry with paper towels.

2. Heat a minimum amount of refined vegetable oil in a frying pan, put pork chopped into small cubes, fry the meat for a few minutes until golden brown.

3. Add onion, chopped in half rings, when it becomes slightly soft, add finely chopped carrots. Cook vegetables with pork for 7-10 minutes, they should become soft.

4. Chop the white cabbage into thin slices and add to the rest of the ingredients. Stir the contents of the pan, turn the heat down, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes. Stir frequently. Add water if necessary, cabbage and meat should be stewed, not fried.

5. When the cabbage and pork are tender enough, add your favorite tomato sauce, stir the pan again and simmer until all the liquid has evaporated.

6. Now you need to salt and pepper to taste, add chopped fresh parsley. Stir the cooked dish, turn off the stove, cover the pan with a lid and let the cooked cabbage and meat stew before serving to mix all the flavors.

7. Then serve. Enjoy!
