A simple, tasty and satisfying everyday dish for the whole family is easy to make changes using pasta and vegetable set of different shapes / sizes. Today I suggest trying seashells with seasonal tomatoes and sweet peppers.
Ingredients:
Pasta - 500 g
Sweet pepper - 1 pc.
Tomatoes - 2 pcs.
Green peas - 30 g
Garlic - 1 tooth
Green onions - 50 g
Vegetable oil - 40 ml
Dill - 10 g
Salt, hot pepper - to taste
Step by step recipe:
Step 1 - To cook pasta with vegetables in a pan at home, take the foods on the list. Fresh vegetables can be substituted or combined with frozen ones.
Step 2 - In salted boiling water, boil the shell pasta or other pasta to the extent that suits your taste. We discard it in a colander, drain the water.
Step 3 - At the same time we are engaged in vegetables. We heat up a spacious skillet with a high side, pour in the vegetable oil. First, throw onion and garlic on a hot surface. You can replace green with onions, then sauté a little longer, until transparent and golden. Chopped green onions take a minute to soften and retain their vibrant color. Fry immediately the crushed or chopped garlic clove. The oil gains a delicious aroma and pungency.
Step 4 - Cut sweet peppers, preferably fleshy varieties, into relatively thin strips. We clean from seeds and soft internal partitions. Add to the onion with garlic, mix and continue to fry for another minute. The task is not to stew, but to bring the vegetables to a slightly "tired" state, something like "al dente". Vegetables do not lose their original color, freshness, aroma, soften from above, but remain elastic inside.
Step 5 - Lay the chopped tomatoes last. First, put them in a bowl of boiling water, and then peel them (tomatoes in their own juice are also suitable). Salt, stirring, steam for a minute or two.
Step 6 - Finally, add boiled pasta and a handful of sweet peas to the vegetables in the pan. We stir, combine all the smells and additionally warm up the shells, thaw the green peas.
Step 7 - Serve pasta with vegetables in a frying pan, sprinkle with fresh herbs.
