If guests unexpectedly gather to you, and you did not quite count on their arrival, I suggest very quickly collect your thoughts and prepare a delicious dish for the table - a potato casserole with chicken in oven. Cooking it is as easy as shelling pears, all you need is potatoes, a small onion and chicken fillet.

The casserole turns out to be incredibly juicy and tender, but at the same time filling and nutritious. The appearance of such a dish is quite attractive, so guests will definitely be satisfied, and only praise will sound in your address.

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 300 g

Chicken fillet - 250 g

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Sour cream - 3 tbsp.

Water - 0.5 cups

Salt, pepper - to taste

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Hard cheese - 80 g

Paprika - 0.3 tsp

Description:

1. Prepare all the required foods from the list. Choose a special type of potato for baking or frying - it cooks faster, it turns out tender and crumbly. Fillet is preferable to use fresh, not ice cream.

2. Peel the tubers and wash well under cool water, dry slightly. Using a special grater or a regular knife, cut the potatoes into plates. Preheat the oven immediately, setting the temperature to 180 degrees.

3. Grease a casserole dish. Then put half of the prepared potatoes in it, put the plates overlapping each other. Grind the potato layer with salt and pepper, paprika.

4. Peel and finely chop the onion head. Optionally, you can brown it separately or leave it raw - as you like.

5. Rinse the chicken fillet and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the meat into small oblong strips.

6. Put pieces of meat and onion slices on the potato layer, cover with the remaining plates of potatoes.

7. Mix sour cream and water separately. Pour the resulting mixture into a mold with a blank. Bake the dish for 25 minutes.

8. At the end of cooking, grate hard cheese on a fine or medium grater, cover the potatoes with these chips and send the mold back to the oven for 5-10 minutes.

9. Serve the finished dish immediately.

Chicken potato casserole can be served with homemade pickles, and if fresh vegetables are still available, cherry or just vegetable slices with herbs will not be superfluous.
