If you are a big fan of tomato juice, it is not necessary to buy it in stores for crazy money, because it is easy and simple to prepare at home. Believe me, the manufacturer makes it in almost the same way, but packing it in a beautiful box increases the cost several times. The only thing to remember is that good quality tomato paste is suitable for making juice; all sauces and ketchups are not suitable. Respect the proportions and enjoy your favorite homemade beverage.
Ingredients:
Tomato paste - 4 tablespoons
Sea salt - 0.5 - 1 tsp
Ground black pepper - to taste
Purified drinking water - 0.5 l
Preparation:
1. First of all, I want to say that you should not save on tomato paste either. The better it is, the tastier the homemade juice will be. The density of the paste should be at least 40%, 25-30% is too liquid and loses much in taste, and the finished drink will turn out to be orange and not very thick. It is best to take sea salt, it is healthier and not as salty as common table salt.
2. Take any convenient utensil, a decanter or even a liter glass jar familiar to us. Pour purified drinking water into it.
3. Pour the tomato paste into it. The proportions, by the way, can be to your liking. I like thick tomato juice - it's two or even three tablespoons of pasta per glass of water, if you don't like thick tomato juice, then 1-2 tablespoons of tomato per glass of water will be enough.
4. Now with a long cocktail spoon, you need to thoroughly mix the two liquids until smooth. If you use a jar, everything is simple to the limit. Close the jar with a lid and shake it well - the paste will mix with the water itself.
5. Then add coarse sea salt to taste and a little black pepper. Stir the juice again, remove the foam from the surface.
6. Now the juice can be varied to your liking. Someone adds a hot sauce like Tabasco to it, someone adds salt and soy sauce in equal proportions, and someone adds a little Worcester sauce for flavor. It all depends on your preference.
7. Pour the juice into portioned glasses and serve. Not at all worse than ready-made, without preservatives and artificial colors.
Enjoy!
