Thanks to modern household appliances, you can significantly speed up the cooking process of almost any dish. For example, using a microwave oven, you can cook deliciously baked potatoes several times faster than in the oven. To do this, you need a regular cellophane baking bag.
Potatoes prepared using this technology come out tender and crumbly, very aromatic and spicy due to a whole bouquet of spices, with a boiled-baked structure. Starchy potatoes work best for this recipe because they boil quickly.
Now I will show you an excellent way to quickly and tasty feed the whole family.
Ingredients:
Potatoes - 500 gr.
Salt - 0.5 tsp
Garlic - 1 tooth
Spices (paprika, dried basil, oregano, coriander) - to taste
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.
Baking bag - 1 pc.
How to cook:
1. Peel potato tubers from the top layer with a vegetable peeler, wash thoroughly.
2. Chop them into wedges or other shapes. Try to keep the segments as uniform as possible, then they will bake evenly. The size of the pieces should be medium, too large pieces will take a very long time to cook.
3. Sprinkle the potatoes with the suggested spices or others of your choice. Exfoliate a clove of garlic, crush it under a press, throw it to the main composition. Mix everything carefully so that the spices and salt envelop each slice.
4. Put the potatoes into a baking bag, pour in a small portion of vegetable oil, distribute them by stirring.
5. Tie the bag tightly, shake it several times, then make several punctures with a wooden skewer for air passage (4-5 punctures will be enough). Since the bag inflates a lot during baking, small holes will help prevent it from bursting.
6. Place the bag of potatoes on any microwave-safe plate, handleless skillet, or ovenproof dish. Set the microwave power to the highest, load the workpiece inside. The approximate cooking time varies from 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the power of the oven and the type of potato itself. In any case, after 10 minutes, check it by piercing it with a fork, if it is soft, you can get it out. The main thing is not to overexpose, otherwise the potatoes will turn out with dry edges.
7. Cool slightly, then cut the bag with a knife, put the dish on a serving plate, sprinkle with chopped herbs.
Such potatoes can be served as a side dish with vegetable salads, meat, fish, pickles, or as an independent dish.
