Spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce

Spaghetti has now become very popular in Russian cuisine, so today we will cook it with meatballs in tomato sauce. The meat balls in it are tender and juicy, because they are small in size.

Taking nest pasta instead of spaghetti, you can not boil them separately, but together with tomato sauce. To do this, simply increase the amount of water to 300 ml and place them in the boiling gravy after boiling for 5 minutes.

Ingredients:

Minced meat - 350 gr.

Bulb onions - 1 pc.

Fresh tomatoes - 300 gr.

Tomato paste - 1 tsp

Spaghetti - 250 gr.

Water - 150 ml.

Vegetable oil - 40 ml.

Wheat flour - 1 tsp

Salt and spices to taste

Fresh basil - 1 wht.

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - We prepare the products required according to the list. Fresh tomatoes can be substituted for canned Tomatoes in Their Own Juice. Any mince is suitable, I have mixed (pork and beef), we take very chilled. The selection of spices is also at your discretion.

Step 2 - Chop the peeled onions very finely. For our meatballs, it is better to chop it up than grate it so that there is no excess liquid.

Step 3 - Rinse the fresh tomatoes, cut them into halves. Three on a medium grater. We don't need the skin that we have left. If you wish, you can simply cut the tomatoes into slices, but in this case, the gravy will come across pieces in the skin.

Step 4 - Add chopped onions, salt and spices to the minced meat. Mix well.

Step 5 - Form the meatballs by wetting our hands with water so that the minced meat does not stick. In the process, we beat them well between the palms. Then they will keep their shape well during frying.

Step 6 - Heat vegetable oil over medium heat in a pan, it is better to take refined or lard. We spread the semi-finished meat products and fry until golden brown, stirring occasionally.

Step 7 - Next, add tomatoes and tomato paste to the pan.

Step 8 - Pour in 100 ml of water, add fresh basil, add a little salt and season with minced meat spices. We continue to cook, covered over medium heat, for another 15 minutes.

Step 9 - Stir the wheat flour in the remaining water and, with constant stirring, pour the mixture into the pan. After boiling the tomato sauce, turn off the fire.

Step 10 - Meanwhile, while the meatballs are cooking, boil the spaghetti in a large saucepan in salted water: from the moment of boiling, for 8-10 minutes. Then we put it in a colander. So that they do not stick together during cooking, add vegetable oil when boiling (1 tablespoon per 3 liters of water). The cooking time for the spaghetti is different, follow the instructions on the packet as they are made from different varieties of wheat. Stir them constantly for the first 2 minutes of cooking.

Step 11 - We immediately send the finished pasta to the pan and mix.

Serve spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce immediately to the table, while hot. You can supplement the dish with a salad of fresh vegetables or pickles.
