A modern and juicy side dish made from rice will perfectly complement any meat or fish dish. It can be served independently, sprinkled with fresh herbs, and in a duet with any vegetable salad. Rice with soy sauce is cooked very quickly - after 15 minutes you can already feed your family with it.

Choose the size and type of cereal according to your taste: long-grain or round-grain rice, black or white, brown. If you have little free time, then purchase a steamed product - the cooking time will be reduced by about 2-3 minutes.

Today, soy sauce in the supermarket can be purchased with various flavors: classic, with garlic, with mustard, etc. Remember that after boiling the rice must be steamed for 2-5 minutes so that it absorbs the remaining liquid.

Pour the purchased cereal into a deep container: a bowl or salad bowl. Cover with cold water and rinse thoroughly. Drain all liquid and repeat this procedure until it remains clear in the container. It is necessary to thoroughly wash the starch from the rice, otherwise the dish will taste bitter.

Pour the washed cereals into a cauldron or ladle with a non-stick bottom, a saucepan. Pour in soy sauce, salt and pepper. Pour in hot water and place the container on the stove. Cook for about 15 minutes. After the liquid boils, remove the formed foam with a slotted spoon.

After the specified time, turn off the heating, cover the container with a lid and leave for 2-5 minutes for steaming. The groats will "draw in" the remaining liquid and become crumbly.

If desired, you can add a little butter or vegetable oil, lard to the porridge and mix.

Place cooked rice and soy sauce on a plate or dish. Chop the washed fresh herbs, such as green onions, and sprinkle the boiled garnish on top. Serve hot, ideally with cutlets, sausage, boiled or stew, chicken.

This rice can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
