Who does not know the taste of shawarma?! It is not always safe to buy it on the street, but you can cook it at home. All products are available. And instead of grilling chicken, you can use a regular pan. But the main thing is to properly marinate the meat in aromatic spices. And how to do this, I'll tell you now!

Ingredients:

  • Lavash - 4 pcs.
  • Chicken fillet - 500 gr.
  • Peking cabbage - 250 gr.
  • Cucumber - 1 pc.
  • Tomato - 3 pcs.
  • Soy sauce - 100 ml.
  • Ketchup - 100 gr.
  • Mayonnaise - 150 gr.
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt, spices - to taste

Prepare all the ingredients you need to make a delicious shawarma. Rinse cucumbers and tomatoes well in running water.

Chicken fillet must be marinated. To do this, cut it into thin strips, put it in a bowl and fill it with soy sauce. Add some salt and spices to taste (you can use curry or a ready-made chicken kit). Mix everything well and leave the meat to marinate for 1 hour.

Prepare the vegetables during this time. Chop the Chinese cabbage, cut the cucumbers into cubes and the tomatoes into slices. Place everything in a separate bowl.

To fry the chicken, heat the pan until hot and add some vegetable oil. Arrange the chicken and fry well over high heat until golden brown. Then reduce heat and fry for another 10-15 minutes, until tender.

For the sauce, mix the ketchup and mayonnaise.

Spread pita bread on the table and brush it with the resulting sauce, not reaching the edge of the sheet.

Top with some shredded cabbage and roasted chicken.

Then lay out the cucumbers and tomatoes.

Roll the pita bread on the sides and then roll into a roll. Press down a little.

Fry the finished roll in a hot dry frying pan for 1-2 minutes on each side. If there is a grill, then you can fry on it.

By the way, the filling for shawarma can be diversified to your liking by adding mushrooms, bell peppers or other delicious ingredients to it. And chicken can be replaced with pork. This will make the dish more satisfying.
