Perhaps the fastest pastries that can be made from purchased dough are puff tongues with sugar. They are like mini puffs - delicious, crumbly and very airy. However, this dessert also has a significant drawback - it ends very quickly, especially if you serve it with hot tea or coffee, with jam or jam.

Remember that the smallest portions of dough are baked in literally a matter of minutes, so try to be on the lookout for the moment when you need to take them out of the oven.

By the way, the tongues can be sprinkled not only with sugar, but also with ground cinnamon, black or white sesame seeds, etc. Whipped it is permissible to replace the egg with a tart strong tea brew so that the baked goods acquire a beautiful golden hue when cooking.

Ingredients:

Puff pastry - 250 g

Sugar - 2 tablespoons

Egg - 1 pc.

Preparation:

1. Defrost purchased puff pastry (yeast or non-yeast) at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes, but not completely, otherwise you will not be able to separate its parts later. There is no need to roll it out, it is already formed in thin layers. Just unfold these layers and lay them on a board or work surface, lightly sprinkling it with premium wheat flour (you can do without powder). Cut into strips, and the strips into pieces 5 cm long and 2-3 cm wide, forming small tabs.

2. Beat the chicken egg in a small bowl or bowl; if desired, you can replace it with 2 quail. Brush all the dough tabs with a brush dipped in beaten egg mass. Sprinkle immediately with granulated sugar, not powdered.

3. Place the pieces neatly on a baking sheet or in a mold at an equal distance from each other. There is no need to lubricate the container - the dough already contains a large amount of fat. Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven to 180 degrees and bake the mini puffs for no more than 10 minutes. In doing so, remember that 10 minutes of baking time is only in a hot oven! When placing the baking sheet in cold appliances, add another 5-6 minutes to heat it up. Watch the surface of the baked goods so that they do not burn.

4. Then remove the baking sheet from the oven, use a spatula to remove the puffs from it onto a board or dish and let cool slightly.

5. Then transfer to plates and serve sweet puff pastries to the table along with drinks: milk, kefir, hot tea or coffee, lemonade or fruit drink.

Tongues made of puff pastry with sugar and on the second day remain crisp, airy and delicate in taste.
