Cucumbers with squash, marinated for the winter - an easy-to-prepare, tasty and externally beautiful appetizer. It is good to serve such vegetables to the family as pickles for any meat dish with a side dish for lunch or dinner, or you can put them on the festive table - they are ideal for strong alcoholic drinks.

Ingredients:

Squash - 400 g

Cucumbers - 200 g

Carrots - 0.5 pcs.

Onions - 20 g

Hot pepper - to taste

Garlic - 2 cloves

Parsley - 0.5 bunch

Dill - 0.5 bunch

Bay leaf - 4 pcs.

Peppercorns - 12 pcs.

Marinade:

Water - 0.5 liters

Salt - 2 tablespoons

Sugar - 2 tablespoons

Vinegar 9% - 4 tablespoons

How to marinate:

1. Prepare foods from the list. Wash all vegetables under running water and dry. Peel the onions, carrots and garlic. Wash the jars with an ordinary dish detergent, dry them, and sterilize them together with the lids in any way convenient for you.

2. Place a few sprigs of dill, parsley, two bay leaves, six black peppercorns, and one garlic clove at the bottom of each jar.

3. We take young patissons, without seeds. Be sure to cut off the tails on both sides, cut into convenient pieces, put them in jars, alternating with slices of carrots and hot peppers.

4. Cut the onions into rings, add them to the vegetables. Chop the cucumbers into small pieces, fill the jars with them to the top.

5. Now you need to boil water in a kettle, pour boiling water over jars of vegetables, cover with a lid and leave for 15 minutes.

6. After a while, drain all the liquid from the cans into a saucepan, add water to the 0.5 liter mark, add salt and sugar, put on the stove.

7. When the water boils and the salt and sugar dissolve completely, pour in the vinegar, stir and immediately pour the boiling marinade over the jars to the top. It is best to fill the containers so that the marinade flows out over the edge, since the vegetables will absorb some of it and the finished curls may be half empty in the end. Seal the jars with lids, turn them upside down, put them to cool overnight, cover with something warm.

The next day, put the curls with cucumbers and squash in a cool place and store until winter.
