I serve for dessert, appetizer, and first courses. It is very convenient to take with you on the road, to a picnic or to the beach as a snack.
How to cook:
First, I mix all the dry ingredients. I sift the flour. I add sugar, salt, baking powder and soda.
I always add both baking powder and soda to curd dough. It's not a mistake! Of course, you can not add soda, but the result will be slightly different. I recommend preparing it according to the recipe.
I combine cottage cheese with softened butter. Beat with a mixer. After a minute I add the egg and gradually (I do it with a spoon) add the dry ingredients.
I knead the dough first with a mixer, and then with my hands. You don't need to knead for a long time. The dough is soft and "docile".
I roll it out with a thickness of 5-7 mm and cut it.
How to cut is not very important at all. Cut as you want (you can cut out circles, cut into rhombuses, or in some other way). But we like this snack in the form of curd sticks better. I cut it into thin rectangles. And it turns out appetizing, and then it is more convenient to eat))
I spread the dough rectangles on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Beat the egg and brush on top.
And then a choice! You can sprinkle with anything - nuts, seeds, cheese, any spices, cinnamon, or even just sugar!
I have sesame seeds today, dried sweet paprika flakes and fragrant dry herbs.
I put the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes. The sticks will become rosy and beautiful. Crunchy, aromatic... Very tasty! And several flavors at once!
