At your request I share a recipe for a cake ala Napoleon.

By counting calories, you can even add a cake to the diet. All the more, you have to sometimes allow yourself tasty treats, so that it is not excruciatingly painful to get on the scales after a breakdown and zashora.

But even if you decide to pamper yourself, try to cook a cake with less calories and fat, so as not to harm your diet.

The calorie content of the cake that I got seemed about 2 times less than the usual Napoleon cake!

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 250 g ready-made puff pastry (mine is yeast-free),
  • raspberry jam (30 g) and dove berries (30 g) optional.

for custard:

  • milk 2.5% - 400 ml,
  • 2 yolks,
  • 20 g cornstarch
  • a bag of vanillin,
  • 7 sachets of sweetener (1 sachet equals 1 g equals 5 g sugar).

Cooking.

The first thing to cook is the custard, because it still needs to cool down. The cream can be prepared in advance.

We put milk on the stove. While the milk is heating, mix the yolks with starch, vanilla and sweetener.

Do not bring milk to a boil. Pour the yolks with starch into hot milk and cook constantly until thickened.

When it starts to "puff" with large bubbles, you're done. This time it took me about 10 minutes on medium heat.

Cover the cream with cling film and set it aside to cool.

I cut the finished yeast dough, thawed in advance, without rolling it into strips, put it on a baking sheet and put it in the oven for 20 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.

Let the resulting puff sticks cool.

I put the cake in the bowls and served it in portions.

Put a teaspoon of cream on the bottom of the bowl, then chop the puff sticks with medium pieces, add berries and a little raspberry jam.

The next layer is cream, puff sticks, and so we continue until there is room in the bowl. The last layer is cream, a little raspberry jam and berries.

You can use any berries and jam that you like and as much as your conscience allows (with regards to jam).

I served it right away - I liked it better when the puff sticks were not wet from the cream yet and crunched.

Instead of custard, you can use yogurt mixed with sahzam and vanilla - the calorie content will be more pleasant and less fiddling with the cream.
