My husband's mom marinates fish very cool, especially herring and mackerel. It is impossible to tear yourself away from this fish, it turns out VERY tasty! And today I want to share her recipe for mackerel marinade.
I don't think it is necessary to say that the result is 50 percent dependent on the quality of the fish, it should be fresh, attractive in appearance and have a wide back.
Fish need to get rid of the head and entrails, rinse well.
Now we are preparing the marinade. To do this, pour water into a saucepan and put it on fire. Next, add all the ingredients according to the recipe, namely:
for 1 liter of water
3 tablespoons of sugar
5 level tablespoons of salt
5-6 bay leaves
3 carnations
0.5 teaspoon coriander
4 allspice peas
1 tablespoon mustard seeds
Mustard seeds can be replaced with powder, then its presence will be felt more strongly.
The marinade should be allowed to boil for one minute, the salt and sugar should be completely dissolved, then cooled to room temperature.
Pour the prepared fish with cooled marinade and leave for 3 days. In fact, we start trying after 2 days, we can't stand it, it's very tasty.
