Today I want to remind you of one very popular snack in Soviet times. I still cook it, because it is very tasty, it takes a minimum of time to cook, and the food is very cheap. In my childhood, they used ordinary white bread, today I most often use "Borodinsky" and like this time "Grain".
In order to make the appetizer look more elegant, I shape the slices of bread into a round shape using a culinary ring with a diameter of 7 cm. I send the blanks to the oven so that they brown a little and become crispy.
Then, using a fork, I knead one egg, you should get a rather small crumb. I add canned fish to it, I have mackerel. I always remove all large bones from such fish, because I always feel them anyway. I knead everything well with a fork to get a homogeneous mass.
Be sure to add one tablespoon of mayonnaise in order to combine all the ingredients. Necessarily this appetizer was decorated with green onions or dill, I like more with onions.
Next, put a mixture of fish and eggs on the dried bread, decorate with onions and immediately serve. This appetizer cannot be made in advance, as there is a high probability that the bread may become wet from the fish and the effect will not be the same. Better to take a minute before serving.
