Traditionally, the main cereals in our diet are now rice and buckwheat. They are the first to disappear from the shelves in the days when the people decide - a crisis is coming, a lockdown, another end of the world and the economy. For some reason people ignore millet, wheat grits, barley.
You can think of me as a wrong Russian, but I'm not particularly fond of rice and buckwheat.
Rather, so - I will not give up on them, of course. And I'll cook it. But not very often. And in general, besides rice and buckwheat, there are a lot of other tasty cereals. And not as rare as freakes (freakes are a delicious thing, if you suddenly see them - buy them!). Bulgur is now in every store. And, by the way, he is not so expensive.
So I propose to cook bulgur. It is delicious. And there are a lot of options.
This time we take:
- 150 grams of bulgur;
- small zucchini or zucchini;
- Sweet red pepper;
- Sweet red onion;
- Chili pepper - one piece;
- 100 grams of feta cheese;
- A tablespoon of tomato paste (as much as possible, here for your taste);
- Salt and pepper to taste;
- 300 milliliters of water or broth;
- A little oil for frying, and of herbs - sprinkle the dish with sweat.
How we cook:
We clean the chili pepper from seeds and partitions, cut into rings. We wash the bulgur and send it to fry in a small amount of oil. When a light nutty flavor comes from bulgur, fill it with broth or water and cook until tender.
We clean vegetables, cut zucchini or zucchini into cubes, pepper into squares, onion into small cubes. Fry them all in a small amount of oil until almost cooked, add a spoonful of tomato paste and simmer a little.
When the vegetables are ready, add bulgur to them, mix.
Salt and pepper.
At the very end, before serving, add diced feta and sprinkle with herbs.
