Lush "snails" with a filling: I cook my husband with me to work instead of sandwiches

I quite often cook various snacks for my husband for work. These were casseroles, and pies, and muffins and sandwiches. Recently I have been preparing "snails" with different fillings.

The filling can be any, I cooked it with cottage cheese and green onions with ham and cheese, today I have a "spicy" filling ..

First you need to prepare the dough and let it rise.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g flour
  • 330 ml milk
  • 40 g sugar
  • 10 g salt
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 yolks
  • 7 g yeast

I put the dough on "proofing" in a warm oven for 40 minutes and prepare the filling.

For the filling, I take 3 large onions, cut and fry in vegetable oil. The onion should be completely cooked and not crunchy on the teeth, this is important. While frying, I salt the onions, add black pepper and a pinch of Provencal herbs. For those who like fatter, you can add a little butter, but I do not add.

The onion must be completely cooled.

Next, we are engaged in the formation of the most "snails". To do this, I roll out the dough on a silicone mat, lightly greased with vegetable oil. The thickness of the dough should be no more than 1 cm. Then I distribute the cooled onion as shown in the photo below.

Put grated hard cheese on top of the onion.

Next, I wrap the dough with the filling in a roll and cut it into segments about 4 cm wide.

I transfer our blanks to a baking sheet and again send them to "proof" in a warm oven.

After the buns "rise", grease them with yolk and send them to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

And so beautiful, mouth-watering and fragrant "Snails" are obtained:
