  • 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
  • 20 gr. butter
  • 2 tbsp. l. flour
  • 1.5-2 tbsp. l. tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp. l. sour cream
  • 1.5 cups of water
  • salt
  • pepper

How to cook:

1. Heat vegetable oil over low heat in a saucepan, melt butter in it.

2. Put flour in the melted butter and quickly and quickly start stirring with a fork or better with a whisk.

3. Add tomato paste and stir again quickly for literally 10 seconds.

4. Pour in 1 cup boiling water or broth. And now you need to whip the gravy so that it becomes homogeneous and all the lumps are gone.

5. As soon as you notice that the gravy is thickening a lot, it's time to pour in more liquid. About a third or half a glass. The fire is moderate, even closer to slow. Mix quickly. Now you can use a spatula.

6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. You can use additionally your favorite spices, bay leaves, dry onions or any dried herbs (very small).

7. At the very end, put sour cream in the sauce, stir, simmer for 1-2 minutes. Ready!

It usually takes less than 10 minutes to make this gravy.

It goes well with any cutlets or meatballs, cabbage rolls or stuffed peppers. Well, you can simply serve it separately with meat and fish dishes, pasta or cereals.

Good luck to you! And health!
