This onion is perfect for festive salads and appetizers. It can be served with a barbecue or any meat, covered with salted herring and even just put on a piece of rye bread - it still comes out very tasty.

Pickled onions in lemon

Ingredients:

  • 2 onions
  • lemon
  • 1 cup warm boiled water
  • 0.5 tsp l. Sahara
  • dill

How to cook:

1. Peel and cut onions into half rings or as needed.

2. Squeeze the juice from the lemon and you can remove a little zest. Literally half a teaspoon.

3. Dissolve sugar and lemon juice in warm water.

4. Chop the greens finely and mix with the onions.

5. Transfer the onion to a container or jar and pour over the marinade. There is no salt in it, so the taste will be very original.

6. Remove the dishes with onions in the refrigerator for 12 hours. Then it can be used for salads or just for bread.

Pickled onions in wine

Ingredients:

  • 300 gr. white salad onions
  • 100 ml dry white wine
  • a pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 1 hour l. sugar (better than brown, but you can use white or use honey)
  • 0.5 tsp l. salt
  • dry spices at will (black pepper, thyme, basil)

How to cook:

1. Chop the peeled onions as needed for use in dishes.

2. Sprinkle the onions with salt, sugar and cinnamon. If there is a desire and opportunity, then add additional spices. Rub the onion with them with your hands.

3. Put the onion in a jar or other dish with a lid and pour wine on top.

4. Leave sealed dishes in the room for 3-4 hours or more.

It is recommended to use such pickled onions in salads with mayonnaise, for serving baked meat, fish or herring. Thanks to him, all these dishes will acquire a pleasant and very interesting taste.

Pickled onions in soy sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 onions (any)
  • 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce
  • 1 hour l. Sahara
  • dried garlic powder on the tip of a knife
  • a pinch of ground ginger or 1/3 tsp. l. fresh grated
  • 2 tbsp. l. lemon juice

How to cook:

1. Peel the onions and cut into half rings. You can use straws or rings, here, too, at the discretion and necessity.

2. Slightly mash the onion with your hand, add sugar, garlic and add ginger. Mix.

3. Place the onion in a bowl and top with soy sauce. Lemon doesn't really matter, but it is added for a pleasant sourness. From 1 h. l. up to 2 tbsp. l. lemon juice depending on the size of the bulbs.

4. Onions are marinated in soy sauce for at least 3 hours. But after the snack comes out just a bomb!
