I do not have time to buy mackerel - no matter how much salt, everything is not enough. I love salted mackerel! I salt it in different ways - both with dry salting and in brine. But recently I found a new way - in a package, and now I like it the most. It is very convenient - I put everything in a bag and let it be salted - and there is no need to stain the dishes.
Ingredients:
mackerel
salt
sugar
*spices
We need one mackerel weighing about 500g. Gutting, remove the fins, tail and head.
We take the most ordinary plastic bag (you can take two so that nothing leaks), put in it 1 level tablespoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar.
Put the mackerel in a bag and rub it with salt and sugar on all sides, and inside too.
If desired, add spices (black pepper, coriander, bay leaf, etc.), then the fish will turn out to be a spicy salting. But I don't put them in, because I think that spices spoil the taste of mackerel. In my opinion, fish only needs salt and sugar.
And that’s all. We tie the bag and put it in the refrigerator for 24 hours (for a day). Then we take out the mackerel and cut into pieces. With potatoes, onions and black bread - just delicious!
The mackerel turns out to be lightly salted, very tasty! If you haven't eaten everything at once, then put the fish in a container or glass jar, add a little vegetable oil. It is not necessary to put it back into the bag, otherwise it will turn out salty.
Here's a simple recipe for me. Write in the comments how you salt the mackerel?
