An interesting combination, but at the same time within the usual traditional tastes. This salad will definitely brighten any holiday.
Ingredients:
- 1 smoked chicken leg
- 2 boiled potatoes
- a handful of pitted prunes
- 1 large sweet and sour apple
- 2 boiled eggs
- 1 head of pickled onion
- 100 g hard or smoked cheese
- a handful of walnut kernels
- mayonnaise
- salt
- pepper
How to cook:
1. First, you should pickle the onions for the salad. How to do it? There are many recipes, we posted several on our channel, the link to the fastest method will be at the end of the post.
2. Boil potatoes and eggs. Cool, peel and cut into cubes.
3. Remove the skin from the chicken leg, separate the bone and chop the meat also into cubes. Grate the cheese, peel the apple and grate it too. Can be drizzled with lemon juice, if available.
4. Combine chicken, potatoes, cheese, eggs, apple and pickled onions. Season with salt, pepper, season with good mayonnaise.
5. Rinse the prunes and cut into strips. Leave some of the strips for decoration, chop the rest.
6. Put half the meat part of the salad in a transparent salad bowl, then a layer of chopped prunes and sprinkle a little with chopped nuts.
7. Spread the second layer of lettuce on the prunes.
Decorate the dish with chopped walnuts and prunes. Greens optional.
