If you are already tired of "Herring under a fur coat" on the New Year's table, then I suggest preparing your favorite salad a little differently. I assure you that all guests will want to try this salad. So take note of the recipe.

Preparation:

We need one salted mackerel. You can buy it in the store, but I prefer to salt it myself - I have adapted to salt the mackerel in a bag. At the end of the article, I will leave a link to the salting recipe.

We cut the mackerel into fillets, cut into small cubes, put on the bottom of the salad bowl. Sprinkle with finely chopped onions.

Next, lay out grated boiled potatoes, then carrots and then beets. In general, we make all the same layers as in the traditional "Herring under a fur coat". My layers are in this sequence, you can do it your own way. I know that many put potatoes in the first layer, and fish in the second layer.

Lubricate the top with mayonnaise, decorate with herbs and put in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours so that the salad is soaked. Then we serve. Very tasty!
