Simple portioned herring appetizer

Ingredients: Herring fillet, Rye or Borodinsky bread, Eggs, Cucumber, Purple onion, Dill, Mayonnaise, Mustard, Salt

First of all, put 3 hard-boiled eggs. To do this, we put them in cold water. After they boil, wait 8 minutes, then cool them.

While the eggs are boiling, we cut the bread into small pieces, on which we will spread the appetizer. It is best to use black rye or Borodino bread. Fry each piece in a skillet without oil for 1 minute over medium heat on each side.

Cut a cucumber, a small head of Crimean onion and eggs into small cubes, which we set to boil before. I also like to add some finely chopped dill to this appetizer for flavor. We transfer all the ingredients to a deep bowl. Add 2 tbsp. l. mayonnaise, a little salt, 1 tsp. l. mustard, and mix everything together.

Put a teaspoon of the filling on the toasted black bread and distribute it. Cut the herring fillet into slices 1 cm wide and put 2 slices on top for each serving of the snack. To make the appetizer look more colorful and interesting, I prefer to decorate it with a small amount of green onions. Bon Appetit!
