Fry onions with carrots. Peel the potatoes and cut into medium pieces. Cut the smoked chicken leg and cut into large pieces.
Put fried onions with carrots, potatoes, sauerkraut, chopped chicken into the boiling broth with bones, add salt to taste, put the bay leaf and cook under a lid over medium heat until the potatoes are cooked.
Divide the jar of beans into 2 parts, put one part in the soup, crush the other with a fork in mashed potatoes and also add to the soup, throw in the chopped garlic and cook for another 2-3 minutes. The soup is ready.
When serving, chop finely chopped green onions or parsley into the soup.
