Such simple and understandable products - no mascarpone and cream and no one knew what marshmallow for mastic was... Everything is simple, clear, budget, easy, fast and at the same time delicious!!! A similar cake recipe is written in my first cookbook, which I began to keep in the 5th grade... Sometimes it seems to me that then, despite such simplicity, everything was tastier) Maybe because I myself was a child???

" Enchantress" - a simple homemade cake from the USSR

Ingredients: For sponge cake, eggs, flour, sugar, vanillin, baking powder, For cream: milk, egg, sugar, flour, vanillin, butter, For glaze: milk, cocoa powder, sugar, butter, For impregnation:, water, sugar

Cooking method:

Prepare a biscuit: Beat the eggs with a mixer. Add sugar and beat until fluffy white mass.

Add sifted flour with baking powder and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.

While the cake is cooling, prepare the custard. Mix sugar and flour. We beat the egg. Mix until smooth. Pour in 1/4 of the milk. We put on a slow fire.

Cook, stirring constantly. As soon as bubbles appear, pour in the rest of the milk. Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat, add soft butter. Mix and let cool completely.

To soak the cakes, combine water with sugar. My mom always soaked with jam syrup instead. I mixed jam with water. I did the same) Soak both cakes.

Lubricate the cake with cream. Cover with another layer.

For glaze, mix dry ingredients. We add milk. Add oil. Place on fire and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

Pour the hot icing over the cake. We put in the refrigerator for 4 hours to soak. I also used helium pastry sticks. Bon Appetit!
