If you plant today, then in 14 days you will already have your green onions. There is probably no easier way. Onions grow well on a windowsill, and if planted at intervals of 3-7 days, you will always have a fresh green onion. And your own, as you know, is better than the store, so I tell you how to grow green onions at home.

Step 1. Package preparation

So, we take the most ordinary plastic bag and fill it with about 1/4 filler. It can be sawdust soaked in water for 1-2 hours (sold at any pet store, they are cheap). Or you can use soaked toilet paper.

Step 2 Onion preparation

Let's move on to the bow. You can take onion sets, or you can take ordinary bulbs, with a diameter of not more than 3 cm. We cut off the tops of the bulbs and "plant" in the filler. It is not necessary to immerse deeply, the most important thing is that the roots are in sawdust. We do not tie the package, we put it on the windowsill.

Step 3 Waiting and watering

Well, that's all)) It remains only to wait and water - about once every 4-5 days. After 15-20 days, you can already harvest the "harvest". As the green onions grow, lift the bag as well, then the feathers will be even.

Green onions are juicy, tasty, great for cooking any dishes.

I know that you can still grow green onions in egg cartons. Write in the comments, did you know about this method? And how do you grow greens at home on the windowsill?
