#dessert I told you that the Christmas theme won't let me go. Here is the result of our joint creativity with our grandson. We tried very hard. I have been eyeing this cookie for a long time. It's funny to say, but several years have definitely passed, but the hands did not reach. Thanks to the cookie author Solomiia Recipes. And of course, to my grandson, who just made me finally bake these cute and delicious cookies. In fact, they are so simple in their composition and preparation that it is exciting for children to cut them out and fill them with caramels. The brighter the caramel, the more beautiful the windows will be. Our caramel was not too saturated in color, but fragrant. This is good, since the dough is not flavored with vanilla, but has a delicate creamy taste. Yes, these are the most common butter cookies. But what an original. In addition, such cookies can decorate the Christmas tree. This year we baked already when the Christmas tree was dismantled and hidden until next year. This means that next year we will definitely bake cookies and will certainly share new photos and impressions. By the way: such cookies are suitable not only for New Year's holidays and Christmas, but for birthdays, any holidays, for gifts and just for your loved ones. So I boldly renamed the cookies from Christmas to Holiday. Well, isn't it cheerful, doesn't it create a holiday mood?
Ingredients: wheat flour, XL egg, soft butter, powdered sugar, milk, colorful caramel
Cooking method:
Butter, mix with flour and powdered sugar. It turns out butter-flour crumbs. Add the egg and milk, knead the dough quickly and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 180 gr.
Roll out the dough between 2 sheets of baking paper. Cut out shapes with cutters. Cut out the centers with small cutters. Transfer carefully to a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Put in the oven for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, remove, put caramels in the middle and return to bake for 5 minutes. Cool the finished cookies without removing them from the paper so that the caramel has time to harden.
As for caramel, it is better to buy small candies like monpasier. Large ones will have to be broken in half so that they fit in the middle. Our boy got carried away and crushed the lollipops almost to powder. Therefore, the windows turned out with bubbles. Which is also very nice. If you still intend to hang the cookies, then when cutting down the dough with a cocktail straw, make a hole for the thread or string.
