Cottage cheese casserole is a very popular and healthy dish that can be found in kindergarten or school cafeteria.
Ingredients: Cottage cheese, Eggs (category CB), Vanilla, Sugar, Semolina, Butter, Salt, Sour cream
Cooking method:
Separate the egg yolk from the protein. Add sugar and vanilla to the yolks. Mix In a bowl with cottage cheese, add a mixture of egg yolks, semolina, sour cream and melted butter. Stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Add a pinch of salt to the proteins. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks. Add whipped proteins to the curd mass. Mix.
Grease a baking dish with butter. Send the curd dough into a baking dish. Spread evenly. Bake for 1 hour at 160 degrees. Next, increase the temperature to 180 degrees and bake for about 30 minutes. The total baking time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes (baking time may be slightly shorter or longer depending on the characteristics of the oven). Readiness is checked with a wooden skewer.
Leave the casserole to cool slightly and serve. The casserole will shrink as it cools. It will settle by about 1/3 (the amount of shrinkage depends on the fat content of the cottage cheese, the fatter the cottage cheese, the less shrinkage). Bon Appetit!
