What to cook from potatoes so that it is tasty and satisfying and I would like more supplements?
There will be many options and the most popular way is to just take it and fry it. So I would have done 7 years ago, but now with three children and a husband this will not be enough. Therefore, for a large family, I found a budget recipe from potatoes, which now replaces fried potatoes for us by 100%, and maybe by all 200%.
Draniki are very easy to cook. It is especially good to cook them with old potatoes, because they contain a large amount of starch, they do not fall apart when frying like new potatoes, and they are inexpensive.
I used to hear about pancakes, but I didn’t cook, because as a child I didn’t have them on the table. Mom, out of her ignorance, or maybe because of her unwillingness to "mess around", did not make this delicacy for me. Recently, I treated her to my potato pancakes and asked: "Why didn't she cook potato pancakes for me?" The answer struck me: "I don't like them!"
Whether or not to cook pancakes is up to you, but in order for you to really like them, take 6-7 medium potato tubers, 2-3 eggs, salt to taste.
To make pancakes delicious juicy with a golden crisp, add 5-6 tablespoons of vegetable oil when frying.
RECIPE
Wash potatoes, peel and grate on a fine grater.
Squeeze the resulting mass well to get rid of excess liquid and starch. Do not spill liquid!
Collect in a bowl and leave for 3-5 minutes to precipitate the starch. Then carefully drain to the border with starch. We also need starch! Do not throw away!
Now we combine the potato mass (base) with starch, eggs and salt.
Mix well and spread with a spoon on a frying pan heated with oil.
We form cakes, pressing with a spoon. Be sure to cover the pan with a lid, turn it over after 2-3 minutes.
A couple more minutes and you're done!
