Homemade PROCESSED CHEESE from cottage cheese

Very tasty and natural processed cheese is not difficult to cook at home from ordinary cottage cheese. This melted cheese turns out tender and is perfect for lubricating tea sandwiches with it. It can be safely offered even to small children. I also like this homemade cheese recipe because you can change the tastes each time. Such cheese can be flavored with herbs, garlic, sweet ground paprika, turmeric, Italian herbs... You can even make sweet cheese by adding sugar and cocoa.
Surprisingly, you will need the most ordinary products for homemade processed cheese. And the preparation itself will not take you much time and effort. It is advisable to take homemade cottage cheese or buy the cottage cheese of which you are sure for sure.
Try this recipe for delicious processed cottage cheese cheese and you will stop buying spreads in the store!

Ingredients:

  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • butter - 100 g
  • cottage cheese - 400 g
  • soda - 1 tsp l. (without slide)
  • salt - 1 tsp. l.
  • ground black pepper - to taste
  • dill - bunch
  • garlic - 2-3 cloves

Step by step recipe

1. First, let's prepare the curd mass. We transfer 400 g of cottage cheese to the chopper bowl and break 2 eggs here. Grind everything to a paste. I grind in two steps.
Cottage cheese is best to take high-quality purchased or use homemade. Also, cottage cheese can be rubbed through a sieve.

2. We shift the curd mass into a saucepan. Add 1 tsp to it. l. salt, ground black pepper to taste and 1 tsp. l. without a slide of soda. We mix everything well.

3. Here we add 100 g of soft butter. Again, mix everything well.

4. We put the pan with cottage cheese on the stove and cook over low heat, stirring constantly. The mass should become homogeneous and viscous. This takes approximately 10-15 minutes. If you are worried that the mass may burn to the bottom of the pan, then boil it in a water bath.

5. The resulting mass is divided into 2 approximately equal parts. In one add the garlic through the press and mix well.

6. In the second part of the cheese mass, add a finely chopped bunch of dill and mix everything well.
We cool the melted cheese to room temperature and put it in the refrigerator for several hours so that it freezes.
