Delicious vegetable casserole with white bechamel sauce. It will be a delicious dinner for your whole family. The most ordinary vegetables prepared in this way always turn out fragrant and moderately satisfying. Velvety bechamel sauce and viscous melted cheese give a special taste to this dish. This vegetable side dish in the oven will perfectly complement any meat dish and the whole family will like it.
Preparing a vegetable casserole with bechamel sauce is not difficult at all and from the most affordable products. Even a novice cook can handle this dish.

Be sure to cook such a vegetable casserole with zucchini in the summer-autumn season. It's simple and incredibly delicious!

Ingredients:

  • zucchini - 400 g
  • potatoes - 400 g
  • tomatoes - 400 g
  • cheese - 100 g
  • milk - 400 ml
  • butter - 40 g
  • flour - 2 tbsp. l.
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • salt - to taste

Step by step recipe

1. One medium-sized zucchini, weighing about 400 g, cut into circles about 4-5 mm thick.
Cut three medium potatoes into slices as thin as possible.

2. Three or four medium-sized tomatoes are also cut into thin circles.
Lubricate the baking dish with vegetable oil. This amount of ingredients is calculated for a mold with a diameter of 24 cm.
In the prepared form, alternately lay out the circles of zucchini, potatoes and tomatoes.

3. Prepare the bechamel sauce. Put 40 g of butter in a hot frying pan. Add 2 tbsp to melted butter. l. flour, mix and add a little salt.
Cook the butter with flour for another 2-3 minutes over medium heat until the mixture darkens slightly.

4. Add 400 ml of milk to this, stirring constantly. In order to avoid lumps, it is most convenient to mix with a whisk.
Cook until sauce thickens and remove from heat.

5. Add one egg to the sauce and mix well with a whisk.

6. Salt the prepared vegetables a little on top and immediately pour the bechamel sauce.

7. 100 g of three cheese on a coarse grater.
Sprinkle everything with grated cheese on top.

8. We put the casserole in a preheated oven to 180 degrees. Bake for approximately 50 minutes.

We take out the finished casserole from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm.
The casserole turned out very tasty, juicy and fragrant. Be sure to cook such a casserole in the season of fresh vegetables.
