Snack cake for the holiday (in Soviet times such snacks were not)

This snack cake is a bit like the famous "Herring under a fur coat", but in this design on the table cake looks good, and the taste is much better than the usual herring salad.

This appetizer goes well with a festive table.

And this cake all the time to try the New Year's Eve.

To prepare the needed products that each family have in the fridge.

INGREDIENTS

  • salty crackers 2-pack (350 gr.)
  • herring (fillet) -1 piece.
  • boiled carrots, 2-3 pieces.
  • beets varenaya- 2 pcs.
  • boiled eggs, 4 pieces.
  • pickled cucumber, 2 pcs.
  • mayonnaise, 5 tablespoons. l.
  • green onion-beam
  • salt and spices to taste

COOKING

Carrots and beets, boil, cool and peel. It is better to do it in advance, to collect the cake faster.

First, rub the carrots on a fine grater.

Carrots salt, pepper to taste,

add a spoonful of mayonnaise and mix well.

All the same make with the beets.

Eggs boil, purify and separate the yolks and whites.

Yolks and whites rub on a small grater.

Cucumbers cut into small cubes.

Herring fillet cut into cubes.

Finely chop green onions.

Putting a snack cake. Take a dish and lubricates the surface of mayonnaise to a cake does not slide.

Spread on a dish layer crackers. This is the basis of cake.

The basis lubricates thinly spread layer of mayonnaise and herring.

Then, the serial-pickles, chives.

Top beet spread layer and lubricates mayonnaise.

Then repeat herring layer, a layer of pickles and sprinkle with green onion.

Carrot top layer and spread again lubricates mayonnaise.

Close the top and remove the plastic wrap in the refrigerator (preferably at night to well-soaked cake).
