I will not torment with long stories and a bunch of pictures - I just made jam from pears that were brought from the village on the weekend. It was necessary to quickly attach them, otherwise it deteriorates. And here's what happened.

Ingredients:

2 kg of pears (peeled from hearts and seeds - in halves)
1.5 kg sugar
juice of half a lemon
1.5 cups of water

How to cook:

1. Pour the already peeled pear halves with hot water and lemon juice, put on the stove. Blanch the pears for 15 minutes.

Then add 2 cups (0.5 kg) sugar. Boil.

Remove from heat and drain into another container. Strain.

2. Dissolve 1 kg of sugar in a hot liquid and heat until boiling.

3. Squeeze the hot steamed pear a little with a wooden pestle or spoon. No need to mash! This is not jam, but jam. It is enough to crush the halves a little.

4. Pour hot syrup into the pear mass, mix quickly and leave to soak for 2 hours under the lid on the side.

5. Boil the jam for 5 minutes, boiling twice with cooling for 2-3 hours.

6. Arrange in jars and roll up. Very aromatic and tasty jam turned out! Have already tried it with pancakes.
