Adding oatmeal to minced meat is my secret trick and secret. They work great in pork, beef, or mixed mince.
But I was always afraid to mix oatmeal with chicken - chicken is already dry, what kind of rolled oats?
It turned out that I was worried in vain, the cutlets are wonderful!
Ingredients:
500 gr. minced chicken (breast, thigh)
egg
0.5 cups dry oatmeal (better than the cheapest)
0.5 cups milk or cream (water)
onion head
2 cloves of garlic
0.5 tsp l. ground black pepper
1 hour l. salt without a slide
vegetable oil for frying cutlets
How to cook:
1. Peel the onion and garlic. It is advisable to pass them along with the meat through a meat grinder.
If the minced meat is already ready, then the garlic and onion should be chopped very finely with a knife.
2. Pour cold milk or water into the minced chicken, add the oatmeal and mix well.
Leave aside for about 20-30 minutes for the oatmeal to begin to swell.
3. Then break a large chicken egg into minced meat and combine everything with chopped onions and garlic.
4. Be sure to salt the minced meat and season with ground black pepper. You can use your favorite poultry dressing or just a herb mix.
5. Knead the minced meat and you can immediately start forming the cutlets with wet hands.
6. Fry cutlets in vegetable oil on both sides for about 3-5 minutes each.
Any side dish will do.
The cutlets are tall, firm and very tender. And yes, they are juicy enough.
