Hello dear readers of my channel. Today I want to dwell in more detail on the masking of nasolabial folds, to give detailed recommendations for the visual smoothing of this age-related manifestation.
Several months ago, I wrote an article on masking nasolabial folds and gave general guidelines. Comments appeared under that article asking to tell in more detail about the technique, since many were unable to disguise the "nasolabies". Yes, the article is coming out late, but I think many will find it useful.
Since we will mask the shadow, or rather lighten it, then a light concealer will be required for work (the product should be lighter than your skin tone). To fix the concealer, you will also need powder (ideally, friable, colorless).
Masking "nasolabials" is carried out at the last stages of creating a full-fledged make-up, that is, after applying tone, but even before powdering the skin, or on clean, prepared skin (if the tone is not applied).
Important: the technique depends on the depth of the nasolabial folds. I will show you how to mask these imperfections, both when the nasolabial folds are shallow and when they are quite distinct.
If the nasolabials are not very visible, then it is enough just to apply the concealer along the wrinkles (depending on the facial expressions, apply a corrective the remedy can be both on the "break" of the skin (if facial expressions are not very active in this particular place), and slightly higher (if facial expressions are very active). In this case, you can simply use your fingers to gently "trample" the concealer into the shadow formed by the fold, and then powder the area.
If the nasolabial folds are deep, and the facial expressions are quite active, then the imperfections need to be corrected as follows: apply concealer should be strictly above the skin break itself, but very close to this break (line 1 - skin break) and shade the correcting agent up. The most important thing is not to blend the concealer above the shadow itself (line 2).
Next, you should powder the concealer. The above adjustment perfectly masks the nasolabial folds and, most importantly, the corrective agent does not clog into the wrinkles-breaks of the skin with active facial expressions. The technique has been tested on women of different ages.
