I would never have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. Children who refuse juices in favor of cola (unfortunately, this has become the norm), tore the glass from each other in order to be the first to drink this warm drink.

On the weekend, we, as usual, gathered with friends for a walk, the weather is disgusting, I don't want to walk, but I need to breathe the air. A friend arrived with children, and immediately from the doorway gave me a jug with a drink with the words: "Hide it, I brought you this, if they see mine, they will immediately whine and ask for more." There was sea buckthorn in the jug. Upon returning home, I without enthusiasm offered a drink to the child, being absolutely sure that he would not touch him. But how surprised I was when, over the first glass, the request was for the second and third.

Sea buckthorn is a storehouse of vitamins and microelements. This is what we miss so much in winter. Sea buckthorn berries are low in calories, therefore they are great for diet food.

100 grams of berries contain only 50 calories. And due to the high concentration of fiber, the product has a beneficial effect on the intestines.

The most important substance in sea buckthorn berries is vitamin C. On this I will not write about the benefits of sea buckthorn anymore, because we have a story, after all, not about vitamins, but about food and drinks.

Ingredients for making a sea buckthorn drink:

Water - 3 liters

Sea buckthorn (I have frozen, but you can have any) 500 gr.

Lemon -0.5

Sugar (if there is no allergy, you can replace it with honey, but you need to put it less) - 200 gr.

Pour three liters of water into a saucepan and put on fire. When the water boils, pour a package of sea buckthorn into it.

Then add a lemon or half a lemon. Half was enough for me, because I didn't want to make the drink sour.

Now sugar. I used it, but sugar can be easily replaced with honey, only you need to add it after the stove is turned off. And the drink cooled down a little.

We give our drink to boil for 7-8 minutes. Cool and serve!
