Today I want to share a recipe for meatballs with cabbage. This is a great lunch or dinner idea. As it turned out, so few people cook, but I want you to try it too. Because these are very tasty meatballs, they turn out to be unusual in taste.

Recipe:

For meatballs:

Minced meat -500g.

Rice -100gr.

Egg -1pc.

Onion -1pc.

Garlic -2-3 teeth.

Salt -1 / 2 tsp.

Black pepper - to taste

Sauerkraut -700gr.

Water -300ml.

Tomato paste -1-2 tbsp

Onion -1pc.

Salt to taste

Seasonings to taste

(I added 1 tsp dressing to the soup)

COOKING METHOD

First, boil the rice, wash 100 grams of rice well, put it in a suitable saucepan, I cook in a non-stick saucepan, the rice in it will definitely not burn, even if you forget about it. Pour in a glass of water and put on fire.

Cook until tender. Let's take it off the fire. During this time, we will prepare the minced meat. I have a mixed one. We take 500 grams, chop an onion and a couple of garlic cloves in a blender and add to the minced meat.

We put rice, break 1 egg, half a tsp. salt, black pepper and mix. Cut the onion into cubes and fry in a pan in a little oil, until translucent.

We take 700 grams of sauerkraut, if the cabbage is very sour, it is better to rinse it, you need to rinse it in hot water, then the acid will go away. We take just such a brazier, I have a diameter of 28 cm.

Put half of the sauerkraut at the bottom. We make koloboks from minced meat, the size is at your discretion, put on cabbage. Now put the fried onions with vegetable oil on which the onions were fried. We put the second part of the cabbage.

Fill with filling, close the brazier with a lid and put in a preheated oven, cook at 200 degrees for 1 hour, or navigate in your oven. As I said, you can cook on the stove. I like it in the oven, I put it on and forgot about it, after the time has passed, the oven will turn itself off.
We take it out and serve it to the table, I love this cabbage with meatballs with mashed potatoes. Well, very tasty. By the way, sauerkraut can be replaced with fresh one. Then it is better to pre-fry it with onions and carrots.
