Seabass is a very tasty low-calorie marine fish of the perch family. This fish is very popular and for good reason. You can cook it in many ways - fry in a pan, stew in different sauces - white, tomato, green, but the most a popular method of its preparation, which we will reproduce today, is to bake in the oven in foil with various fragrant herbs.
Ingredients:
Seabass - 300 g
White onion - 100 g
Garlic - 1 clove
Parsley - a few twigs
Rosemary - 1 sprig
Thyme - 1-2 branches
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
Lemon - 20 g
Sea salt - to taste
Ch.m. pepper - taste
Preparation:
1. Prepare all the necessary foods from the list. Wash the fragrant herbs, dry with a paper towel. Peel the onion, also wash and dry.
2. Now you need to clean the fish. With a serrated knife, remove the scales, cut along the belly, remove all the insides carefully so as not to crush the bile, remove the gill. Wash the fish thoroughly under running water, dry it. Season with sea salt, pepper to taste on the outside and inside, pour a little lemon juice on the skin of the sea bass, leave to marinate for five minutes.
3. Put parsley, a clove of garlic (I have a young one), a couple of slices of onion, lemon, a sprig of rosemary and thyme in the belly of the fish.
4. Lastly, pour over the skin of the sea bass with vegetable oil, lightly.
5. Line a baking dish with foil, brush it with vegetable oil as well, sprinkle with generously chopped onions or white salad onions and fresh herbs. Place the sea bass in a baking dish. Cover the fish with foil on both sides. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, put the dish in it and cook for 20 minutes. Then you need to get it out of the oven, unfold the foil, turn on the convection mode or the top grill and let the fish skin turn brown.
6. Serve the finished baked sea bass in the oven in foil as a separate dish with a lemon wedge, fresh vegetable salad and your favorite side dish. Boiled potatoes or rice are ideal.
