Liquid semolina porridge with milk

Silky, delicate and nutritious semolina is traditionally served for breakfast, introduced into the diet of children and adults. If desired, the calorie content is reduced by diluting milk with water or using skim milk. For taste and variety, as in any milk porridge / muesli / granola, add honey, dried fruits, fresh or canned berries, fruits.

By changing the proportions of cereals to milk, they achieve different consistencies of the porridge itself: from thick, stable to liquid and pouring.

Ingredients:

Milk - 600 ml

Semolina - 2 tbsp. l. with a slide

Sugar - 15 g

Salt - 2 g

Butter - 20 g

Step by step recipe:

Step 1 - To cook liquid semolina in milk, take the products in the indicated proportions. The minimum set of flavor enhancers is salt and granulated sugar. In random order, they are flavored with vanilla, cinnamon, and other spices for sweet dishes. If you decide to reduce the milk content, dilute with water so that the total volume of liquid is 600 ml.

Step 2 - Choose cookware with a thick or non-stick base. Not having such a container, pour a spoonful of ice water into the bottom of the usual, then add the milk itself. There are different ways to cook milk porridge with semolina. Sometimes it is seasoned with salt / sugar at the very end, stirring intensively, dissolving the crystals. In order to get rid of solid particles for sure and in advance, I recommend throwing a pinch of salt at the beginning - in still cold milk.

Step 3 - Next, add sugar. The dosage is easy to vary according to taste. Those with a sweet tooth may need more. We put on the upper fire.

Step 4 - Now we do not leave the stove for a moment. Pour in the cereal and spend all the time with a spoon in a circle, heat the milk. Often, semolina is pre-diluted with water (like starch) and spread in a wet mass in milk. Some first boil milk and only then pour semolina into the boiling liquid. But if you want to get a homogeneous, smooth porridge without lumps (even thick, even thin), mix cereals, sugar and salt with cold milk and start heating.

Step 5 - Stir continuously, do not allow breasts to gather and at the same time bring to a boil. The grains swell evenly and do not stick together in unpleasant lumps. After boiling, boil for 1-2 minutes, remove from heat.

Step 6 - Dip a piece of butter into the hot and liquid semolina, stir.

Step 7 - Pour the liquid semolina porridge in milk into plates and serve immediately, for example, with fresh berries.
