The meat can be cut into bars, cubes, or left in weighty steaks, as in my recipe. Both options are valid and simple. The whole point is in the honey marinade. It is enough to soak the pork for about an hour in a fragrant liquid in order to get juicy meat pieces with a thin crust and tender inside after frying.
Ingredients:
Pork - 400 g
Honey - 50 g
Soy sauce - 50 ml
Vegetable oil - 50 ml
Ground ginger - 5 g
Lemon - 0.5 pcs.
Garlic - 1 tooth
Salt, pepper - to taste
Step by step recipe:
Step 1 - To cook pork with honey at home, take the foods listed. Use ginger root if you have it. Without such, dry ground is quite acceptable. Increase the portion of the hot additives as needed. Keep in mind that honey differs in flavor strength. Mine from acacia is one of the most delicate, neutral and light. It does not leave a rich honey smell, but it also enhances the taste of the marinade with sweetness and blushes the pork until charring. Buckwheat / buckwheat will appear more dramatically.
Step 2 - Wash the meat steaks with cold water, dry on paper. Whisk the marinade at the same time. Mix in a container that does not oxidize, soy sauce, natural honey, 30 ml of vegetable oil, chopped garlic, ginger, hot pepper, lemon zest and lemon juice. For low-salt soy sauce, you'll need an extra pinch of salt. Shake it up, try it.
Step 3 - Dip pure pork in honey marinade and, under a lid or a film, send it to the refrigerator shelf - marinate for 1 hour. During this period, the meat can be turned over a couple of times.
Step 4 - Before frying, the marinated pork must be dried on a paper towel. Peel off the adhering pieces of garlic and zest so that they do not burn in the pan. Do not pour the marinade, throw 1 tsp into it. l. starch and simmer until thickened over an overhead heat with continuous stirring - you get a delicious sauce for meat.
Step 5 - Preheat the pan, pour in the remaining refined vegetable oil and after about half a minute transfer the meat to a hot surface. We fry on both sides for 5-7 minutes (depending on the thickness of the pieces). To thoroughly steam the fibers inside, press on top with a spatula or other kitchen tool.
Step 6 - Serve delicious pork in honey alone or with a side dish such as potatoes.
