In the season of picking juicy cucumbers, do not forget to make various smoothies from them, adding a new component each time: apple, celery, grated ginger, etc. - be guided by the flight of your imagination. To make the drink not only tasty, but also healthy, take care of the milk base - kefir of any fat content, but always fresh, so that the cocktail does not become sour. The more days from the date of production, the sour milk product will taste more sour - remember this!

Buy cucumbers in the supermarket or on the market, be sure to taste when cooking - they can taste bitter and ultimately spoil the dish - especially for late varieties. Use any kind of honey as a sweet ingredient if you plan on making a sweet drink, or add salt / dried herbs of Provence if the cocktail is salty.

Ingredients:

Kefir - 1 tbsp.

Cucumber - 3 pcs.

Apple - 1 pc.

Salt - 1 pinch

Preparation:

1. Rinse the cucumbers thoroughly in water, cut off the tails on both sides, taste. If you suddenly come across a bitter vegetable - remove it without a twinge of conscience. It is better to throw out one cucumber than pour the prepared dish into the bucket. If the vegetables are of late varieties, then it is better to cut off the peel from them with a vegetable peeler or knife, remove the seeds inside, leaving only tender pulp. Cut the peeled and washed cucumbers into half rings and place them in a blender or food processor.

2. Rinse the apple, cut it in half, and then in half again (you get quarters). Cut off the seed blocks and rinse again, remove the peel - a prerequisite, since today the moment almost all apples are treated with paraffin so that they do not lose their attractiveness during six months. Cut the peeled fruit quarters into slices and add them to the bowl to the cucumber slices.

3. Pour in a pinch of salt - it will accentuate the sweetness (yes, don't be surprised) of the apples. Pour in kefir of any fat content. It is permissible to replace it with another milk drink: fermented baked milk, ayran, whey, but not milk.

4. Whisk the contents of the container on a pulsating mode for 2-3 minutes, so that even large pieces of vegetables and fruits are chopped and mixed with the kefir base.

Pour prepared cucumber and apple smoothie into tall glasses, garnish with cucumber or apple sliced, fresh mint leaves and serve immediately - the drink can stratify within 10 minutes.
