There is not a single person among my friends and girlfriends who does not like Greek salad. I always cook it when we meet, even just for dinner, and not just for some family celebration. This salad is always eaten with great pleasure, because it is light, juicy and tasty. He is especially liked by adult boys, when it is still possible to drink, and the food no longer fits. Today we will cook a Greek salad with regular feta cheese, not feta.
Ingredients:
Cucumber - 2 pcs.
Tomato - 2 pcs.
Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc.
Sheep cheese - 200 g
Salad onion - 50 g
Black olives - 130 g
Lettuce salad - 100 g
Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
Dried oregano - 1 tsp
Sea salt - to taste
Black pepper - to taste
Preparation:
1. We will prepare all the products according to the list. Wash the vegetables and lettuce thoroughly, let them dry. Bell pepper, preferably red or yellow, clean from seeds and stalks. Open a jar of pitted olives, drain the liquid.
2. The lettuce leaves can be torn with your hands and added to the dish itself, but I like to place it on the large plate I usually serve on.
3. Vegetables for Greek salad are often cut into large pieces, then it retains its normal appearance for a long time and does not let the juice flow. Peel the cucumber from the top and tail, remove the stem from the tomato. Coarsely chop the vegetables and place in a deep, comfortable bowl.
4. Chop the bell peppers coarsely too, add together with the olives in a bowl to the cucumbers and tomatoes.
5. Red salad onions are added to the original recipe, but it was too spicy, and I could not buy the Yalta one. So I chopped the white sterling onion, also sweet and crunchy, and put it in the salad.
6. Salt all the vegetables in a bowl with coarse sea salt, pepper, season with good olive oil, and stir. Spoon the seasoned vegetable mix onto a lettuce.
7. Cut the sheep's cheese into small cubes, lightly dip each piece in dried oregano, spread the dishes on top.
That's all, the Greek salad with feta cheese and olives is ready. Serve immediately after cooking, or season just before serving.
Enjoy!
